For this Acer Chromebook spot, I was responsible for developing the visual direction and shaping the overall look and atmosphere of the project. My role included props selection and set design, ensuring that every element supported the creative concept and created a cohesive visual world. I also directed the video and edited the final piece, overseeing the project from its visual development through to post-production.
For this project, I developed the visual concept around the idea of freezing and defrosting a retro swimsuit. I experimented with directional freeze techniques to create the desired visual effect, while designing the lighting and selecting props to build the atmosphere of the scene. I also handled the cinematography, shooting the piece on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, and edited the final video. The project combined concept development, set design, practical experimentation, cinematography, and post-production.
For this music video, I developed the script and overall creative direction, shaping the visual language and narrative of the piece. I was responsible for art direction across the production, including location scouting, props, set design, and costumes, ensuring that each element contributed to a cohesive visual world.
I directed the video and supervised the editing process, guiding the final piece from concept through post-production. I also created a series of visual assets for social media, extending the creative language of the music video into the accompanying promotional content.
Enlightenment (2020) was created during the Film School in a Week course at London College of Communication, taught by Rufai Ajala.
I was responsible for directing, lighting, cinematography, and editing, taking the project from concept through to the final film. The piece went on to win the Story Through Lighting competition, presented by Blackmagic and No Film School, selected by a professional judging panel.
Winning the competition was an opportunity to have my work recognized by experienced filmmakers and industry professionals and reinforced my interest in using cinematography and lighting as tools for visual storytelling.
